At Lim Acupuncture Clinic, we're excited to welcome our newest licensed acupuncturist Brenna Lewis, L.Ac., Dipl. OM, MSTOM, to our team! Brenna joins us as a licensed acupuncturist with eight years of clinical experience and nearly two decades of combined experience in integrative healthcare settings. Her compassionate approach to patient care, extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and passion for helping others make her a wonderful addition to both our Castle Rock and Centennial clinic locations.

Whether you're seeking support for chronic pain, stress, fertility, autoimmune conditions, or overall wellness, Brenna is committed to creating personalized treatment plans that help patients feel their best. We wanted to take a moment to introduce Brenna, share her journey into acupuncture, and help you get to know the newest member of our team.

A Passion for Helping Others

Brenna's path into healthcare began immediately after high school when she worked as a private, in-home caregiver. Supporting patients through some of life's most difficult moments taught her the importance of compassionate, individualized care and confirmed that helping others was what she wanted to pursue.

Originally, Brenna planned to follow a more traditional medical path through nursing or physician assistant programs. However, while attending community college in San Diego, she discovered Pacific College of Health Sciences and attended an open house that introduced her to TCM. Learning how acupuncture and Chinese medicine could work alongside conventional healthcare opened an entirely new perspective on patient care. From that moment, she knew she had found the career she wanted to pursue as a licensed acupuncturist.

Building a Strong Foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine

Brenna earned her Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Pacific College of Health Sciences in 2017. Throughout her education, she trained alongside medical doctors, doctors of Chinese medicine, and fellow licensed acupuncturists while gaining experience treating a wide variety of health conditions in both academic and community clinic settings.

During graduate school, Brenna also became a licensed massage therapist and received training in medical massage techniques, including Tui Na and Zen Shiatsu. This additional experience strengthened her understanding of anatomy, movement, and musculoskeletal health while giving her another perspective on how hands-on therapies can complement acupuncture treatment.

Her education prepared her for a successful career as a licensed acupuncturist by combining modern medical knowledge with the time-tested principles of TCM. That balanced foundation continues to influence the way she cares for patients today.

Experience Across a Wide Range of Conditions

Since becoming a licensed acupuncturist, Brenna has spent the past eight years working in private practice and integrative healthcare settings throughout Colorado. She has collaborated with chiropractors, physician assistants, massage therapists, medical doctors, and other healthcare professionals to provide well-rounded, patient-centered care.

Throughout her career, Brenna has helped patients manage a variety of health concerns, including chronic and acute pain, fertility support from conception through postpartum, autoimmune conditions, stress-related disorders, nervous system regulation, and other chronic health conditions. She also has extensive experience incorporating Chinese herbal medicine into treatment plans when appropriate, recognizing that herbal medicine can continue supporting patients between their acupuncture visits.

One of the aspects Brenna enjoys most about acupuncture is that every patient is different. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, she believes each treatment plan should be tailored to the individual's unique symptoms, health history, and goals.

Getting to Know Brenna

While Brenna is passionate about helping patients through acupuncture and TCM, she's equally passionate about continuing to grow as a licensed acupuncturist. She enjoys staying current with new research, expanding her knowledge of acupuncture and herbal medicine, and collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure patients receive well-rounded, individualized care. For Brenna, learning never stops, and every patient interaction is another opportunity to become an even better practitioner.

Outside the clinic, Brenna enjoys taking advantage of everything Colorado has to offer. Originally from San Diego, California, she has called Colorado home since 2017, but visited plenty of times growing up and loves spending time outdoors. Whether she's fishing, hunting, playing sand volleyball, reading, spending time with her two dogs, or taking scenic country drives with her husband, she values finding balance between her professional and personal life.

When Brenna began looking for the next step in her career, she wanted to find a clinic that shared her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care while encouraging continued professional growth. That's exactly what she found at Lim Acupuncture Clinic. Joining Lim Acupuncture Clinic has allowed Brenna to continue growing as a licensed acupuncturist while caring for patients. She is excited to continue learning alongside Dr. Lim and the rest of our team while helping patients at both our Castle Rock and Centennial locations experience the benefits of acupuncture and TCM.
